The Model 425 Flame Photometer

  • Specifications
  • Applications
  • The World's Latest Flame Photometer with Dual Channel Capability which can measure up to four elements, including Calcium. Building on the great success of the Model 420 with its Lithium Internal Standard, fully automatic ignition and optimisation which gives ease of use and reproducible conditions for high precision measurement, the versatile Model 425 reinforces Sherwood Scientific as the Leader in Flame Photometry.

The addition of Calcium allows the simultaneous measurement of Calcium and Potassium which is of interest to soil chemists. The model 425 uses an air/propane flame.

One further addition available on the Model 425 is the ability to interface easily with automated wet chemistry systems as a detector for Potassium, Calcium and/or Sodium.

    The Model 860 Autosampler

The Model 860 has been designed specifically to work with the Sherwood Flame Photometers. It has separate positions for blank and standard and in addition can accept 40 samples. The Model 860 is controlled by the Flame photometer and so no new protocols have to be involved in its use.

The Model 860 /Model 420 (or 425) system can work at 100 samples per hour.
